Drupal Open Source CMS

Drupal - background

The open source content management system (CMS) Drupal has been making waves in the low-end and mid-range CMS market for the past few years. And as the community grows, adding wider functionalities, even the hitherto high end CMS market is beginning to feel pressure from Drupal

Drupal has its roots in the academic world, Gent University, Belgium. However, since its conception over seven years ago it has become the fastest growing CMS technology with over 10.000 users including many well known global companies such as Sony Music, Yahoo, Google as well as government institutions such as the Belgian Federal Government and NATO.

It has a particularly large customer base among non-profit organizations and government agencies – in Belgium, UK, Hungary and the US it is the premier choice with over 200 successful deployments.

Drupal - implementations.

Since its foundation in 2002, dotProjects has focused on Drupal – from our early team of two (2) developers and one (1) designer we have grown to a team strength of ten (10) dedicated developers and three (3) designers / front end architects, supported by a professional and experienced customer services team.

During this period we have successfully designed, developed and implemented sixty five (65) large-scale Drupal projects for both display websites and interactive on-line communities. We include such organizations as Danone, Telenet, Belgian Federal Government and the Flemish Regional Government among our customers.

Our approach is simple – we provide our customers and partners with quality, value and attention to detail. We understand very well that we are the experts and we have to take full responsibility for ensuring that the final product is what our customers expected.

Our preferred project methodology is Agile Project Management. First, we break down the project specifications into smaller, more easily manageable components and through bi-weekly update meetings and hands-on project team meetings, our customers are closely involved in the full development process of their application. They can test and review parts of the implementation early on in the project to avoid any misinterpretation of instructions.

The end result is that we deliver quality, value and on time
